  • Technology development and innovation: Research that aims to develop new technologies and innovations that serve multiple sectors in the governorate.
  • Infrastructure improvement and urban development: Studies that focus on developing urban and rural infrastructure and improving the quality of life in the region.
  • Addressing social problems: Research that addresses major social challenges in the governorate, such as improving health care, education, and employment.
  • Food Security and Sustainable Agriculture: Studies on ways to achieve food security by promoting sustainable agriculture and improving food supply chains.
Amount of support :

A support amount of up to 25,000 riyals for each research project.

Duration of the project:

The time period available for preparing and publishing the research is only 9 months.

Terms and conditions:
  1. The principal investigator must be a faculty member at Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University.
  2. The field of research should fall within the objectives of economic and agricultural development in Al-Kharj Governorate.
  3. The research proposal or part of it must not have been previously published or supported by any party outside or within the university.
  4. The principal researcher for the proposal must be the primary researcher or correspondent on all project outputs.
  5. The publication must be in one of the scientific journals indexed in the Scopus database.
  6. All published research must include an acknowledgment of the financial support for this project from Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University.
  7. The amount of support depends on the quality of the proposal, its objectives, and the number of expected outputs from the project.
