The University Central Laboratory (UCL) contains many advanced instruments in the field of chemistry, physics, and microbiology that contribute to providing laboratory analyzes in accordance with the quality standards applied in international laboratories, and these analyzes have contributed to serving many beneficiary sectors, both at the level of the governmental and private sectors, in the field of analysis. Training and consultation, as well as training interested researchers, students, and community members to raise their technical and professional levels, which made the central laboratory a pioneering role in developing the wheel of scientific research and knowledge and raising the level of researchers, students, and specialists in line with the university’s vision and mission, as well as national programs to keep pace with the country’s comprehensive renaissance in various fields.

The University Central Laboratory provides a set of specialized training courses in the field of laboratory operation, laboratory safety for students and employees of Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University. The laboratory also contributes to serving the students at the university through training and supervision of research projects presented by university students. Analytical tests (water, honey, soil, microorganisms, physical properties of materials) are also carried out for governmental and private sectors, and the laboratory holds the international standard specifications certificate ISO/IEC 17025:2017 for the efficiency of performance of testing and calibration laboratories from the American Accreditation Foundation PERRY JOHNSON LABORATORY ACCREDITATION., INC.
