Program Definition:
A group of researchers with homogeneous or interdisciplinary specializations, united by a common research interest, and enjoying high research capabilities and expertise, in addition to recent returnees from scholarships after obtaining a doctorate or master's degree and graduate students for the purpose of training and providing them with solid research expertise.
Objectives:
- Encourage and support interdisciplinary scientific research.
- Transfer research experiences from distinguished faculty members to researchers who have recently returned from scholarships after obtaining a doctorate or master's degree, and postgraduate students.
- Encourage scientific partnership between different sectors and governmental or private institutions.
- Find solutions to many of the problems facing society and requiring collective action and joint efforts.
Duration:
18 months from the date of issuance of the contract, with the possibility of granting an additional period that does not exceed half of the duration of the project for completion, provided that the extension does not entail any additional financial dues.
Terms and Conditions:
1. The title of the research group should be related to the objectives of the research group.
2. Priority given to researchers who are not associated with research projects currently supported by the Deanship of Scientific Research or with previously failed projects.
3. The number of members of the research group shall not be less than three members (from faculty members and graduate students).
4. Distinguished researchers from outside the university may participate, provided that the research leadership is given to a faculty member is from within the university.
5. The percentage of citation in the research proposal should not exceed 25%
6. Each member of the research team must participate in at least half of the number of published research papers.
7. The comparison is based on the research activity of the external participant researcher during the past three years within the Web of Science and Scopus Databases
8. The amount of funding sum should not exceed 200,000 riyals.
9. The second party undertakes to achieve 35 points for the projects according to the following table for publishing scientific papers in in scientific journals with impact factor and indexed in the Web of Science database:
10. In all proposed research, it is required that the first researcher and the only reporter in all researches be from the research team affiliated with Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University
11. The research team should acknowledge the Deanship’s support as follows:
“This project was funded by the Deanship of Scientific Research at Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University award number “……………..”
